Everything you need to know for Scarowinds

The countdown to Halloween is officially on. The red S is back in front of the Carowinds sign and we’re mentally preparing ourselves for an awesomely-frightening time.

It is truly an experience of a life time as we see the “theme park” transform into a “scream park”. More than 500 monsters are ready to roam the park to make you squirm and scream as you head to your favorite coaster.

One tip that I would suggest is: DON’T GO ALONE! This is a scary adventure that you and your friends would not want to miss out on, and you don’t have to wait any longer because the kick-off is here!

For the first time ever SCarowinds is kicking off their season with a first annual Monster Block Party. The party will include live entertainment, games, prizes and more. You could even have the chance to learn the choreography for “Thriller”.

Carowinds kicks off their season of SCarowinds on September 21st.

If you’re coming in costume here are some suggestions:

  • Fake blood
  • Distressed clothes
  • Face makeup and accessories
  • Dirty hands/ Grungy nails
  • Faux claws and scars
  • NO MASKS are allowed and clothing must be amusement park appropriate

There are so many new attractions that you must see: immersive mazes, spine-tingling scare zones, thrilling shows and so much more. There are Scare Zones throughout the park and if you step into those zones be ready to face what’s coming. They include the Bloody Yard, Carnevil, Fleet Street, Mass Acres, and new this year Deadman’s Landing and The Hollow.

The park is open every Friday and Saturday night in September. and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night in October.

The SCarowinds season last until October 28th so don’t miss out on the thrill of the scariest fun that you’ve ever had!
