Lanterns & Legends Tour:

Are you ready to experience the spookier side of historic Fort Mill? Who is the man looking for the old train depot? Or the woman at the top of the stairs in the rustling petticoat?

Join us on Main Street for a walking tour you will never forget. Available every weekend in October. Get your tickets for The Lanterns and Legends Tour before they disappear into the foggy night at FMHM.org.

Experience Death And Dying in the Victorian Age at the historic White Home! Learn about Victorian-era mourning practices and about how the White family mourned. All ages are welcome (but some younger children might find the subject matter to be disturbing). Children will also be able to build their own haunted house! $5 admission

Scarowinds/Great Pumpkin Fest:

It is that time of the year when Carowinds theme park transforms into Scarowinds scream park!

During the day from 11am-5pm Carowinds puts the wee in Halloween for the little ones during the Great Pumpkin Fest, then it transforms to Scarowinds from 7pm-midnight.

Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday night through the 28th

Boo-Haha:

WRHI’s Boo-Haha returns to Old Town Rock Hill at Fountain Park with more than 35 vendors this year. Bring the family and enjoy safe, FREE trick-or-treating. You also can enjoy the Boo-Haha Dance Party, annual costume contest, live entertainment and more.

Trick or Treat Main Street Fort Mill: 

Trick or Treat Main Street is one of the most exciting times in Fort Mill where families can release their little monsters for an evening of safe Halloween fun. With a steady attendance of 1,500, children can trick-or-treat vendors and participate in costume contests as live music plays in the bandstand.
This year’s event is sponsored, in-part, with Founders Federal Credit Union and the Town of Fort Mill. You too can help create fun at the Trick Or Treat on Main Street by being a Festival Vendor and/or Sponsor of the Costume Contest Category.

Boo-seum

Come dressed in your costume and join us for games, activities and a craft at the Museum of York County. March along in our costume parade. No tricks – only treats!
Recommended for ages 2 – 6 years old.
No registration necessary. Free with general admission.

Spooky Science: 

Are you afraid of spiders, snakes, owls or even the dark? Earn your own Bravery Badge by facing your fears as you travel though out the museum’s galleries.

• Safely get close to preserved specimens, such as bats, mice and bones in the Naturalist Center
• Play a trivia style game about phobias and fears in the auditorium (ongoing before noon and after 2:30 pm)
• Carolina Raptor Center’s educators will be sharing about nocturnal birds of prey at noon and 1 pm in the auditorium (ticketed)
• Dare yourself to observe, touch or merely enter the room of live creepy critters presented by A Walk in the Woods, LLC. (ongoing 10:30 am-3:30 pm)
• Brave the darkened halls of the Piedmont Present and Past galleries (we provide the flashlight)
• Be the first to endure the planetarium show that will make your skin crawl (free timed tickets)

Not so scary costumes are encouraged. Food available for purchase.

Scarecrow Crawl Fort Mill:

The Town of Fort Mill comes to life through more than 90 scarecrows that welcome you to downtown Fort Mill and into Millstone Park. Fall weather creates great opportunities for selfies with your favorite scarecrow. The best part is, this self guided tour is free! You can see the scarecrows every day through Halloween.

Flashlight Pumpkin Hunt: 

Join the City of York Parks & Rec for 2 days of Halloween Events. Thursday, October 25th at 6:00 pm there will be a Hay Ride and a Flashlight Pumpkin Hunt at the York Recreation Complex on 74 Fourth Street. Friday, October 26th at 4:00 pm there will be Pumpkin Painting at the York Recreation Center at 21 White Rose Lane. Be sure to come and enjoy the FUN! Both events are free to the public.

City of York Trunk or Treat :

Join York Fire Department, local churches and others for the 2018 Community Wide Trunk or Treat. For a map and addresses, click the link.

Halloween Alley: 

Come out to the Clover Police Department for a safe place to trick or treat! Come dressed up and ready to enjoy Halloween!

Mall-O-Ween

Rock Hill Galleria’s Mall-O-Ween is Wednesday, October 31, 5:30-7:30pm! Come out and enjoy mall-wide trick-or-treating for children 12 and under. Children can go store-to-store and load up on goodies! Costume Contest begins at 7:00pm in center court. Register for the Costume Contest between 5:30-6:45pm in center court.

*Most municipalities are not placing strict hours for Trick or Treating in your communities this year. Many ask for you to please participate in trick or treating with before sundown. Please be aware of your surroundings and always have a parent and guardian with underage children.
