Cycling at the Rock Hill Outdoor Center

The cycling venues at the Rock Hill Outdoor Center (RHOC) offers Olympic caliber facilities for use by both beginner and elite athletes alike. Cycling amenities include: Giordana Velodrome, Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track, Mountain Bike Trails, Piedmont Medical Center Trail, Criterium Course and future Cyclocross Course.

Giordana Velodrome


World-class 250m velodrome hosts local, regional and national competitions. This year-round facility offers programs for cyclists of all stages and ages, providing equipment and instruction. A certification process is required of all cyclists, regardless of cycling ability, before riding on the track.

Giordana Velodrome


Piedmont Medical Center Trail


The Piedmont Medical Center trail offers scenic views of the Catawba River and a great location for outdoor activities. The 2.5 mile trail is 10 ft. wide with a connector to the trail system in River Park for a total of 3.5 miles of trail along the river.  The trail is a shared use trail allowing for walking, running and biking.

Piedmont Medical Center Trail


Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track


The Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track is the only Olympic-caliber training facility on the East coast, and one of only a handful in the United States. The facility has both an amateur and an elite supercross ramp.  The site has hosted Local, State, Regional, National and International UCI caliber events with programs for all ages and skill level.

Rock Hill BMX Supercross Track


Criterium Course


The City of Rock Hill’s Criterium Course is a 1.1 mile/22 foot wide paved bicycle course closed to vehicular traffic in order to allow cyclists at all skill levels to ride safely. This course is designed for both recreational and competitive cyclists. It
provides local residents a safe place to ride bikes with minimal interaction with pedestrians and motor vehicles.

Criterium Course


Mountain Bike Trails


With beautiful views of the Catawba River, the mountain bike trails feature 6 – 7 total miles of trail that are available with varying levels of difficulty.  Cyclists should begin at the trail head for the Piedmont Medical Center Trail and review the signage to plan the appropriate trail for their experience level.
