Edmund Lewandowski: Percisionism and Beyond Opening Reception

Winthrop University Public Opening Reception, Edmund Lewandowski (1914-1998) was an influential precisionist painter and art educator known for his images of industrial, urban and architectural subject matter. As the former chair of the Department of Art and Design at Winthrop from 1973 to 1984, he was committed to Winthrop students and the surrounding communities. Winthrop University Galleries is excited to exhibit the first major ever retrospective of this artistic work organized by the Flint Institute of Arts and curated by Valerie Ann Leeds, Ph.D. Event will be held at Winthrop University Galleries/ Rutledge and Patrick Galleries at 1898 Alumni Drive, Rock Hill on September 10th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
