Partners In Tourism (PIT) is a group of area hotels, restaurants, shops, attractions and service-oriented businesses whose primary objective is promoting York County as a tourist destination. Through membership you will be able to expand your marketing efforts, advertise your business or event, provide visitors easy access to your business information, as well as gain valuable online exposure through the CVB website. Members work hard to cooperatively market all of York County to the convention, meeting, group tour, and sports markets.
An exclusive membership roster is sent to all meeting planners upon request. They may contact your business concerning facilities and services.
Visitor Industry Reports
The Bureau provides access to industry publications and also produces a monthly occupancy report for participating accommodations, upon request. Statistics on visitor inquiries which can be used for planning and marketing purposes are also available to partners upon request.
Open five days a week, with limited weekend hours, staff responds to phone and mail inquiries about York County accommodations, restaurants, attractions, special events and services.
As a value-added benefit, your business website link will be added to our website. From our site, browsers can request visitor information via e-mail. Specific inquiries should be directed to individual staff e-mail addresses listed on the website.
Partners may display brochures, menus or advertising materials in the York County Visitors Center making them available to local residents and out-of-town visitors who stop in the center seeking information. Brochures are also mailed to individuals who call or email requesting information.
When available, sales leads are distributed to members and visitor inquiry leads are furnished to upon request.
Group Tour, Meeting and Sporting Event Leads
A confidential resource listing of confirmed or interested meetings, conventions, sporting events and group tours is distributed to partners by request for use in attracting visitor’s business.
This annual event gives the Rock Hill/York County Convention & Visitors Bureau an opportunity to showcase its accomplishments, activities and plans for the coming year.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at various partner locations. They are designed to keep partners abreast of tourism-related activities and issues. Opportunities abound to learn, exchange ideas and literature as well as network with industry professionals. Leads from conventions or trade shows attended by RH/YC CVB staff are distributed at these meetings.
