PENLAND CHRISTMAS TREE FARM:

Step onto this Christmas Tree farm and you’ll be transported right into your favorite Hallmark Christmas Movie. This choose and cut your own Christmas Tree will put you in the ultimate Holiday Spirit and you can grab a cup of hot chocolate along the way.

WINTERFEST: 

What’s a better Christmas date than riding rollercoasters under 5 million shimmering lights. Ride amusement rides, rollercoasters, hear from the holiday singers, and even hit the ice rink. There’s lots of options at Carowinds that will leave you with that warm Christmas feeling. You can even spend New Year’s Eve night there!

FOUNDERS ICE SKATING RINK:

Want to impress that special someone with your ability on the ice? Here’s your chance. Head to the Founder’s Ice Rink in Old Town Rock Hill. It’s right across from the amphitheater. Warm up afterwards with a sweet treat and coffee from Amelie’s. The rink is open all the way through January 21st.

 

CHRISTMAS CANDLELIGHT TOUR:

Looking for a date night packed with old fashioned fun and history? Go to Historic Brattonsville’s Christmas Candlelight tour. You’ll take in all the history on this living history farm, see some cute baby animals, and be enamored by the twinkle of all of the candles on the property. The event runs from 3pm to 9pm.

SYLVIA THEATER:

Too cold outside? Snuggle in at this vintage movie theater. The Sylvia Theater’s annual film fest will be Sunday, December 9th. They also show movies Wednesday through the weekend and then have live bands almost every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. They serve beer and wine inside, so it’s the perfect place to watch.

NARROWAY PRODUCTIONS:

Book tickets to this highly acclaimed Christmas Show at Narroway Productions in Fort Mill! This will give you an interactive dinner theater view at the true meaning behind the season. NEIGHBORHOOD CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TOUR:

Drive through Stafford Park in Rock Hill starting December 14th and 15th! This isn’t just a cozy, free trip filled with Christmas lights, it’s also your chance to give back to your community. The neighborhood is collecting canned goods, unwrapped new toys, and cash to benefit families of York County through Toys for Happiness. The neighborhood is right off Hollis Lakes Road in Rock Hill.

FORT MILL DOWNTOWN JINLE JAM:

Head to Downtown Fort Mill on Saturday, December 15th for the Main Street Jingle Jam. From 12pm – 6pm, Main Street will be alive with Christmas shopping, music, food and beverages (some 21+) and pure Fort Mill fun.  Main Street merchants are ready to welcome you into their unique shops & restaurants and local artisans will be displaying their goods along Main Street.

HISTORIC HOME TOURS:

No matter which community you are near there is a historic home tour for you! Clover, Fort Mill, and York are all presenting their Historic Home tours December 8th and 9th. This is great chance to walk through the homes you dream of owning, all dressed up for Christmas! It may also inspire you for some new holiday decorations in your own home.

TAKE A POTTERY CLASS:

Ghost, anyone? Okay, but for real, you can take a pottery class right in Rock Hill. Give the gift of an experience this Christmas, or just take a class and gift your final product! You know your mom would still treasure a handmade gift from you for Christmas.

HORSEBACK TRAIL RIDE:

For just $50 you can take an hour and a half horse ride through the trails of the Anne Springs Close Greenway. New in December, they’ve extended the rides for a 2pm time each Saturday. Hurry and book today, as space is limited and these will fill up! What’s more romantic than a trail ride through nature?

LIVE MUSIC:

Did you know that many of our breweries in York County have regular live music nights? This is the easiest date night idea to just slip out and hear some great local musicians. Amor Artis in Fort Mill has an Unplugged Music Series every Wednesday night, Slow Play is also featuring several bands every weekend.
