10 Valentine’s Day date ideas in York County

1. Wine Tasting: 

On February 12th Grapevine wine bar has a wine tasting event called Bubbles for Valentine’s Day. The event costs $25 dollars a person, and reservations are required. 2. Couples Yoga:

Need to get in a little exercise and relaxation this Valentine’s Day? Head out to Synergy Yoga’s yoga basics class. The class is 60 minutes and starts at 7:15pm. Everyone is welcomed to join the class. Click here for info on how to sign up for the class.

3. Get Artsy:

Take an art class What’s better than making art on Valentine’s Day?

The Arts Council of York County is hosting Marge Moody for a Ink Drawing class on Tuesday, February 12. In the class, you and your spouse will learn how to draw with various elements. Olive’s Mud Puddle is hosting a Paint and Sip night on February 14th from 6:30 to 8:30. For $50 you can also get a bottle of wine or two beers included! The Mud Puddle’s classes are fun and interactive right off Main Street in Fort Mill!. Click here for details. 

The Rock Hill Pottery Center also offers monthly pottery classes inside the Gettys Art Center in Rock Hill. These small classes walk you through each step of the pottery process, with a piece to cherish forever! Click here for their website and schedule.

4. Catch a Show:

With so many big names coming to York County right around Valentine’s Day it will be hard to choose which show to head to!

Dennis Miller will be performing at the Winthrop Coliseum on February 20th. This is the perfect comedy show to catch close to home. Miller is a former “Weekend Update” host on Saturday Night Live and now hosts hilarious political talk shows. You don’t want to miss his only performance in this area. Click here for tickets.   

Darryl Worley the country crooner will be making a stop at The Sylvia Theater on the 15th. This small and intimate venue is the perfect place for date night right on Main Street. Relax with the Worley’s big hits like “Awful Beautiful Life” and “Have you Forgotten”. Get your tickets now!

The Gibson Brothers are making a stop on the 15th as well at the McCelvey Center in York! This bluegrass band favorite is part of the Southern Sound Series put on by the Culture and Heritage Museum. Head out to Kings Mountain National Military Park where you can trace the steps of the Patriots. Or head out to Historic Brattonsville, a living history farm, where you can see blacksmiths and farmers at work, keeping a 800 acre farm afloat.

We have so many activities to keep you busy across York County, why not try something new? Jump around at Adventure Air in Rock Hill.
